Grilled

Grilled is a restaurant chain that specialises in a range of healthy but yummy burgers. They boast only using the freshest and highest of quality ingredients sourced from local businesses. You may have notices that you are able to see into the kitchen and the grill this so no accident, they have done this so that their customers can that their burger is being made to order with fresh ingredients with no secrets. Grilled can be located across Australia, mostly in the big cities. There is one in the Macquarie shopping centre, this is the one I go to. It’s very popular and always has people lining up although I’ve never had to wait that long their service seems to be very fast and friendly. They also run a program called community matters, this program allows customers to decide where their local Grilled store will donate $300 to a local charity each month, out of three options the other two charities will receive $100 so no one missed out. With each burger you perches you get a token to vote on your charity of choice.

There open from 11am-10pm all week.

Jin

Nishiki Yakiniku, . It is the name of this Japanese BBQ restaurant, in Nishiki you can have a 100 minute buffet, the standard menu A applies and price start from $35.80 per person, and you can also add the menu B top on that, it will have more option to choose, normally people will add together for $70( because menu B have wagyu beef to choose), which will have a unlimited re-ordering, expect for oysters, which are limited to 2 per person.

The menu here is pretty extensive, the menu add together will have all range from meats, a few seafood, sashimi, Japanese snacks, vegetables and even dessert.

For my experience of this restaurant, the quality of food is fantastic, but the service are bit slow, maybe because here always busy, if you want eating here, better booking one day before you came.
The address is: 270 Pacific Highway, Crows Nest, NSW 2065

I have only been to The Missing Piece for coffee and on the odd occasion had their cameral slice, but I am keen to try their new special for the weekend the ‘Kettle Caramello!’ featuring Kettle chips & Caramello Koala with a salted caramel milkshake, can’t wait to try this one!!

Chaco bar

Chaco bar

Chaco bar is a Japanese restaurant that specialises in what it is called "Yakitori". Yakitori means chicken skewers in Japanese, however, they are not the only yakitori as we have now a variety of skewers from different parts of chicken, pork and beef. It is also considered as a street food and you will find the yakitori stalls on almost every station where people can have their drinks with skewers after work or warming up a bit before going parties.

Chaco bar opened up not a long ago and I have always wanted to try, but its been extremely busy and could not even enter without reservations. I finally there last week, and it was a great experience. I expected dishes are as not good as what I can get in Japan and it was true because instead of serving authentic style, they make skewers modern and fashionable. They were visually enjoyable and the quality was far better than I thought. If you are interested, please do try. the website can not be found, but check the information through here.

The Vogue Café

The Vogue Café

The Vogue Café is located in the Macquarie shopping centre level two shop sixty. It serves breakfast, lunch and coffee all day (see below for opening hours) as well as catering for corporate events. The Vogue Café has a set menu as well as daily/weekly specials. Last Wednesday till Friday one of their drinks specials was an Oreo hot chocolate, consisting of a rich hot chocolate made from real chocolate not powder topped with wiped cream and crushed Oreos adding a little lightness to the drink, and a few more Oreos on the side. The Oreo hot chocolate was amassing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a sweet tooth, if it goes back on the menu. But there is no need to wait until this drink is back on the menu again there are plenty of other amassing and creative drinks or food to try. With new specials coming out every few days or old favourites like the Nutella milkshake, they also make a good coffee.

Jazushi

Jazushi

Jazushi is a Japanese restaurant that offers both authentic and modern dishes, located in Surry hills near Central station. The main one thing this restaurant differentiates from others is that band play Jazz in the restaurant. So you can enjoy the music that a band is playing in front of you while having dinner. This dose not mean the restaurant focuses on music rather than food. The dishes they serve taste great and are beautifully set up. I had several dishes at there and one of my favourite was green tea noodle salad with citrus soy sauce. I have never seen salad with green tea noodles, but it was delicious.

I visited this restaurant for friend's birthday, so we are at function room that can take in up to 20 people. This function room was pretty cosy and you can hear music as well from the floor.
I highly recommend this restaurant as you can enjoy the music and/or you can have some sort of functions with great dishes.

Gelato Messina

Gelato Messina

Gelato Messina is an Italian style gelato store located in Surry hills. This gelato shop offers a variety of flavours of gelato made with quality ingredients sourced from very best producers. Messina has 30+ of basic flavours as well as 5 special ones that varies every week, so it is quite enjoyable by having your classic favourite and also trying new ones for a change. I have been this place very often as I tend to hang around there with my mates and also my favourite Japanese restaurant is just around the corner. I usually have strawberry yogurt or pistachio, and of course I sometimes try new specials that attracts me. I also have to mention about the hospitality, the shop staffs are always cheerful and attentive, even though the store is packed. I would recommend this gelato store for everyone into nice and healthy desserts. It also has stores at different locations too. have a look on the website for more information.
